Update 29th November
We are pleased to see a return to the pool for our Nippers and Youth from 3rd December. We are disappointed that our Seniors/Masters will not yet be able to participate in pool training. We continue to review our training plans in line with the new Tier system.

Update 5th November
Today began another national lockdown which means that pools are closed and clubs must stop face to face activities. We are obviously disappointed but we are optimistic that we will be back in the pool in the new year. The club continues to function 'behind the scenes' and we will stay in touch with our members.
We hope that all our members and the wider surf life saving community stay safe and well in these very uncertain times.

Update 22nd October 2020
Our first 5 weeks of being back in the pool have passed in a flash. Our electronic register, compliant with track and trace requirements, is working well and our trainers are now confidently running sessions despite the necessary restrictions. We have been able to offer pool time to all our members and everyone has adjusted well to no changing rooms. We have updated our Covid-19 Operating Policy and Procedures to incorporate the club's response to any future escalation of local Covid-19 status to medium, high or very high.

Update 16th September 2020
With the summer beach season all but finished, we are pleased to confirm that our risk assessments and arrangements for pool sessions are complete. During the summer we successfully trialled online booking and will extend this to the pool sessions to include an electronic register meaning that we fully comply with government and SLSGB track and trace requirements. Our primary aim is to keep our members as safe as we possible can whilst enabling them to attend lifesaving training and maintain their swimming fitness.

Update 2nd August 2020
Over the last few weeks we have worked hard to put in place arrangements and risk assessments that have allowed all our members to attend beach training again. In the first weeks we limited this to dry sessions only but last week our Seniors/Masters returned to the water and successfully demonstrated bubble training in the sea using rescue boards as you can see in these photos.
Our cleaning regime proved effective and we now look to gradually extending wet sessions to our older Youth, Youth and Nipper members.
The clubhouse remains closed and can only be entered by named personnel.
