The members in this section are also known as Nippers. They are the life savers of the future.
It is vital that we encourage our young people to continue in Surf Life Saving to become the volunteers of the future, running community surf life saving clubs.
Children can join the club from age 7 as long as they can swim at least 25m. Members can compete in Surf Life Saving Competitions both nationally and regionally. As a Nipper, your child will be taught surf safety, basic lifesaving skills, and surf and beach sports (wading, surf swimming, board-paddling, beach flags, beach sprints and relays). The emphasis is on learning in a fun & friendly environment. During the winter months we also run life saving training sessions in the pool. These sessions help with stroke technique, physical fitness, and skills.
